I have to admit, I've never owned a leather jacket. I wear black, but I dress in layers. (old Army habits die hard)
My legion vest is leather, but when it gets cold, my outer jacket is a nylon/poly blend water proof jacket.....sorry for the TMI colonel, but I agree with you about leather....g
