If you have floor boards you don't need to read this. If you have foot pegs, read on.........(I'm not saying baggers don't need an extra 3 inches it's just that I can't help you with that),
I've been making some changes to my bike over the last few weeks. For those that were at HERDSTOCK and remember my bike I'm working on getting rid of the "studs" look so I removed the saddle bags and changed out my seat for a Corbin seat I found on Craigslist. I have the stereo speakers removed (I had them attached to the windshield) so I can take the windshield on and off easily. When it's hot out I like to ride without it. I will attach the speakers to the handle bars and install the stereo in the fork bag that Unimoose is sending me. A work in process, more on that later.
Old look . . . . . . . . . New Corbin seat:

What I found was that the new seat actually moved me forward a little so the foot pegs were a little too close for regular riding comfort. I do have the mustache bar and while I use that I was thinking of getting an extension kit to move the controls forward a little. Then I saw these pegs and thought I'd give them a try. They're the Kuryakyn SwingWing pegs and they can be used open or closed. These came with the standard male mount so anyone with foot pegs who want a few more inches, these would work (Hoss, I know you were looking for a few more inches)
Here they are on the bike. Installation took a few minutes.
Right Closed Right Open

Left Closed Left Open

Here is a little better look at the foot position

So far I'm very happy with these. When closed they are like regular pegs with a heel rest and when open you get the extra foot position to stretch your legs a little. They lock open / closed so you cannot safely do this while riding. There is a little spring loaded locking mechanism that can be easily accessed by reaching down at a stoplight to open/close them. They feel sturdy enough and like normal pegs there is an adjustment bold that you can access when they're open to adjust the angle of the pegs so you can get the feel you like.
I bought these from RidersDiscount (over at the other forum) and they gave me a better price than anywhere else I looked ($128 shipped fedex).
