  • New seat installed and ready for testing.

This is not the actual review yet but I installed the new seat today. This is what I bought http://www.saddlemen.com/store/index...oducts_id=7218 .

After installing it my first issue which I'm sure I will overcome is it raised me up slightly and changed my riding position, also it reduces my stance when stopped.

I went for a short ride and did notice however one of the pressure points was relieved so this is a plus. Will get back to this after more testing.

I am not to thrilled about the studs and conchos but those too may grow on me in time (none available without that I could see).

Once the wife goes for a ride I will get her opinion as well. It does however open me up more to getting handlebars that are just a wee bit higher and a slightly bigger sissy bar with a different back pad.

ur gonna have to exspect a little bit thicker seat for more comfort. no way can they do that and stay stock profile. yur size is about me size, I'd suggest yur bars be an inch or so wider too. you'll like the feel I believe.

It's hard to describe the actual support that it gives to the lower back so lets say it surely is noticable compared to the stock seat that was there. Now after the 2 trips to Gettysburg with the stock seat my tailbone has been killing me, mainly from the trip with the wife on the back because I didn't have much room to stretch and couldn't use the passenger pegs for cruising. I did notice though that the pressure on my tailbone is eliminataed completely. With the stock seat after those 2 trips I could barely take the ride to work, yesterday the ride in and home was fine (tailbone still a mess though). So far so good but I do need a longer ride to get the full effect of how comfortable it is gonna be, the 16 miles to work just isn't gonna give the full story.

Looks like a nice improvement over your stock seat. I just picked up a used Corbin seat and I'm going to be doing some switching on my ride also in a few weeks.
