  • Long Ride Shields

Been hearing about them for quite a long time, started back in 2010 with the Hoka Hey riders. Always was a bit of a skeptic, figured it was all just a bunch of talk.

Well, it wasnt. My buddy B-dub ( Sparky here on the HERD forum ) ordered the 7" lightly smoked for his 14 glide, and I just rode it.

I dont know if its the combo of the new venting in the fairing and this windscreen, or the windscreen, or what, but it is amazing

I highly recommend, I am still in amazement on how smooth the air flow is, and how any buffeting there was period, is now totally gone

Here is the site, check it out

    www.longrideshields.com

They have a 20% off sale going on as well, use coupon code LRSBUGS

Mine is on the way, total was $91 shipped after the discount.

I looked at the LRS, and liked them too. But went with the Clearview instead. Same basic principal, shorter shield with a recurve at the top to direct air over your head. Different shape coming the sides is really about the only difference. The Clearcomes up a little straighter before it starts its rounded top than the Long ride. But you probably don't even notice that on the shorter shield. And the LRS might have a slightly bigger recurve at the top. Hope you really like what you got, as I'm sure you will. Both seem to be dang good products.

My shorter clearview does not have much of a curve but it does well. Since I do not have a 2014 fairing with vents. I am pretty sure my next one will be a Clearview with vents and slightly taller. The recurve even on mine does make a big difference.

I ordered up a Recurve Carbonate for the RK. Will have it early next week. 20% sale ended this past weekend, but the gentleman accepted the code anyway. If ya'all want one, get hustling!

Bumping this, as the 20% ended this past weekend...order now and they likely will accept it.

I have a 10" for winter. I love it. It gets the G3 stamp of approval for sure.

I called on the phone and talked to Jim. To this day I still do not trust putting a CC number out over the net. Just this past weekend all my data including SS number was stolen from my health insurance company by some dude over in China. Nothing is secure so I take as many precautions as I can. I went through an identity theft just a few years back, some chumps broke into the local State drivers license facility and stole all the computers and drivers records including license numbers.
