  • Project..

Well I am finally getting caught up at work and I should have some time coming up. I have a photo shoot that I will be doing 9-10 July for a very special Lady that is getting married. Actually its Judoman's daughter. Once I get that completed, I will be get back on the stripey stripey wagon. why does it take a month to catch up when you only take 2 days off???

One project that I know I have is I will be doing a derby cover for Judoman's wife... so Jerry try to keep this one a secret. Going to do the Auburn tiger logo. combo airbrush / freehand / and some pinstripes. Should be interesting.

I will of course provide plenty of pictures and such. I have to start hitting the yard sales and flee markets looking for Nostalgic helmets and other stuff to throw stripes on.

If anything turns out I may put up on ebay or if anyone is interested here.

Frank I appreciate that... I am using Nikon's picture project and fireworks for post production of my photos. I may need some advice on some of the portraits of the bride. She is wanting more of a non-traditional photo session. So I am doing a combo of B/W and color finals. I have too many hobbies, but maybe someday I can make some money on one of them... I will be retiring ( 2nd retirement BTW ) in a few years, and I would like to get into both photo and custom paint and pin stripes. ( wishful thinking )

I know they are hard to find at yard sales and such, but I have seen tons of bowling pins painted and striped, they look cool.
on another site I belong to for painters, airbrush artists and pinstripers, there is a guy who just stripes lcense plate blanks and usually sells them for quite a bit

Hey bud, I have about 30 of the Harley air cleaner covers in my shop. Not stock, but the ones that Harley uses to do custom paint on. They are flat on the front and football shaped. PM me , and send shipping money to me, and I will send you one of them. They are in black primer powder coat, and ready to paint. I might even have a derby or two that I will throw in there.

A while back I had a bike dealer (Indy) call me with a proposition. He had 150 air cleaner covers that Harley rejected after prime coat. They inspect these covers before being sent out to the production painters. If they have the slightest scratch on them, they reject them, and sell them in lots. Since then, I have sold about 80 of them after doing airbrush work on them. The derbys came from the same guy. He had about 30 evo covers, sporty 03-down, and 04-up, and tc88. I think I paid about $6 each for the air cleaner covers, and just a lot price for the rest. Last year I bought out a bike repair shop that did contract work for Progressive Ins. The parts ranged from brake calipers to new wheels, and sheet metal parts, and about 40 sets of lower legs. I have several inner primaries, and a few other misc parts. The rest was auctioned off on Fleebay.
