Many of you might remember me telling of my buddy whose RoadKing took a tripple summersault down the highway....
Well, his insurance company has hired me to paint it. The dealership he took it to to fix wanted XXX dollars for the tins from Harley, then $6200.00 to paint them. this isn't even a full paint job, just the to bag caps, front fender, 1 bag, and the tank. to paint them stock birtch white.
I call BS on that. So anyway, I have all his old tins, adn the new ones minus the bag and 2 caps. first off, the tank looked like crap, I would have been embarassed to sell it. so I did some clean-up on it, adn scuffed it and primed it again. and so far also have the side covers scuffed, cleaned, adn primed now.
I will post pics once it is done, of the step by step. Also, he isn't getting a plain white, he is getting silver and metallic blue 2 tone custom paint from me.
thus the reason for scuffing and repriming everything . Harleys primer is black, and mine is gray. if I painted everything like that, the paint wouldn't match.
