  • My 2000 XL1200S

I've had this one for almost a year, and I don't think more then
a month has went by without some kind of mod:D
The XL1200S for those of you that don't know is the Factory
Performance model. Dual plug heads, W grind cams, fully
adjustable front and rear suspension, and Computer data
link even before 2000. Rated hp was 70 from the Co.
    Let's see, I've added
    Vance&Hines Straightshots full exhaust
SE Intake, with Yost tube and stock outer housing.
    Forward controls
Different mirrors, smoked signal lenses, laydown plate
    holder, laydown tailight lens;
    LaPera solo seat
    Fender rack
    6" risers and Drag bars
several chrome accents, and probably more stuff that I've forgotten.
Anyway here she is....Fast and Fun
    Regards Sonny

Hi Livetoridelady I like the LaPera alot. I had the Harley Badlander on there before the Pera. The LaPera let's you sit a little
lower then the badlander and it's a tad bit narrower. I've ridden through a couple of tanks of gas and have never been
bothered by the seat. The construction of the seat is also excellant. I think it's a pretty good value for under 200.00

Zeta, No, no poping or cracking, not even on steep downhills. When I had them installed, the dealers best carb guy did the
jetting. I bought the whole jet kit along with the Yost power tube. No flat spots, no surges, no bucking, just runs as smooth
as stock, just a lot more power.

Don, good Idea here's a pic with the Bikers Friend bag mounted.......IMO, the best luggage out there.

Thanks guys! The thumbnail pic is the way it looks now. Mostly only the risers and Drag bars are different now, then the pic
with the Bikers Friend. Going to Bike Night tonight so I took off the rack and LePera and put the Badlander on, just in case

Very sharp! Getting it to breath and run makes for a happy scoot. Like that bag. I'm looking for some storage options as I don't really want saddles and something quick for a little trip is ideal and that type you have might do it for me. Thanks for the pic.

Thanks again all! StoneCrab, the Bikers Friend bag sounds like it would be perfect for you. The one I have is the medium size. The lumbar
roll is removable by velcro, and full adjustable. Even the medium size holds quite a bit of stuff, and completely detachable in about 60 seconds,
and not too much longer to Install. I have Monk to Thank for the tip on the Bikers Friend.
                              Regards Sonny
