With all the threads centered around tires, ( home-made lifts, bead breakers, and such )
Let me post a question... Has anyone ever used nitrogen filled tires on their bike? Now I have one vehicle that had this done when new tires were installed at no cost, and has lost maybe 1 psi going on two years. And from what I understand that Nitrogen filled tires do not increase pressure when the tire gets hot like using air. Seems like a no brainer with bike tires as a couple of PSI of pressure dramatically handling and wear patterns.
I am coming up on rear tire change time, and I am thinking about taking both front and rear tires to have this done. I have done the usual internet search and I have seen where some people say its a scam and others swear by it. All I know is that I have had it in the tires of our car, and almost 2 years and 46,000+ miles later I have never had to add pressure. And it stays at 32 psi cold, hot, or rolling down the road.
