  • Leaking clutch and brake levers.

Yesterday I pulled my bike out and started to wipe it down. I noticed the clutch lever was oily and dust was covering it at the connection. It also looked like there was aluminum in it. Enough to drip on my hand as I brushed against it. It was also on the brake lever the same way. Was this from my 1000 mile service from them lubing them? I've never seen this before. It being a new bike and 350 miles past the service I feel the need to ask.

Same oil on both sides? Sounds like the tech lubed it......

Sounds like the service tech might have used to much lube on it.

most likely graphite you are seeing not alluminum, it's used as a lubricant

I have a small amount of oil there after every service. Never noticed any aluminum or graphite though.
