  • MC/RC advice

Hello I have been kicking the idea around for prolly a year or so now and finally decided to go for it. I came up with a name that no one has, I did my research, and spoke with the proper people (I think :/)

The name is Thunder Roads; it’s a three piece patch but does not have any state or territory and no MC cube. The top rocker says THUNDER bottom rocker says ROADS with a Skull in the center the colors are black and silver.

The problem I’m having is people say “I wanna join I wanna join”, but when it comes down to it they are all talk, i try to set up meetings to go over everything and its me and maybe one or two people. I mean there are a few clubs in my area that would fit me but the only thing is I want a club that I can be in with my friends, and needless to say some of them don’t “FIT” the requirements to join. So what do you guys have to offer to help get people interested, or any advice in helping me get this club up and running.

My thought is have them join the forum and figure out if they want to be a HERD.....This is not a bad gig if you knew what else we do other than ride.....My 2 cents.

For starters my initial response is dont as I have been there and done that, it generally does not work out very well. However if you wish to pursue this, you more than likely will be starting with just a core group, maybe two or three. Once you get started and the type you are attempting to attrack will find you and it just goes and grows from there.

        Thats my thoughts.

I would just hang out here for a while and test the waters ------- this a cool place, and we have a patch made by TheBoss that would kick your patches butt lol. Thunder Roads is a biker magazine, might better make sure no trademark issue if you go forward. Good luck

                    Fireman dude.....I'll just say this, you have 1% er's! You have 13% er's! And 99% er's!
1% er's, you know em, the clubs like Outlaws or Hells Angels etc.
13% er's, you know some of them, people like me that eat, sleep and live the H/D life.
99% er's, my favorite, $50,000 bike that may get started once a month at the bike show, hardly ever riden, but the owner has the gear and talks the talk!

With that said, bro. its your call! If you think you need to be in a club to ride with your friends than do what makes you feel good! But remember, if their good friends they'll ride without the club!

I could see my self strugglin to accept the $5oK bike,,, and not needing it for much. I might have to lower my standards a little but as long as I dont get the idea to go politicin I think I could live with myself.
Fine wines and Gourmet Boudin would help ease my guilty feelins.
