Had a bunch of chit to do yesterday, and just a reminder for those heading in to fall weather riding.
The weather didn't quite hit 50* and there was on and off very light showers. A couple points came to mind.
- your boots, and brake lever are wet and cold, makes them slick
- the light rains make roads the slickest
- tires don't run at the same temps and can slide easily when down shifting and under acceleration
- these conditions make evasive maneuvers more difficult, leave yourself more room when in traffic and a little more time to make your destination
Not everyone, but some(myself included) need a little reminder once in a while. Make sure you make it a safe one.
And don't forget, when the cagers look a ya funny 'cuse you ride the crappy wet cold weather, wave like this
