Riding Lessons WND, LTR Please read

Hey Herdsters,

Does anyone have any experience or better thoughts on the riding course given at the HD dealers?

My OL wants to learn to ride and not just be the 2up. I have tried to tell her to wait till I get home and I will teach her, but she seems to be persistent on wanting to learn before I get home to show me she can due this. Was hoping some one out there has had experience seeing this class given or what have you, first hand. If you have any thoughts let me know, other then this all i can think of is get her a cheap 250 rice burner to go break in LOL... THANKS..

LTR, the closest for her that gives the class is your local dealer, if you could PM me any info on this dealer Thanks..

i know the dealer around here its 100$ more than if you go to the local community collage for the class and its the same people you just pay more to do it at the dealership. i would recommend the class to anyone whos never rode, or at least rode on the street. here they have there own bikes you ride. so all you need to do is bring yourself and your safety gear. long pants,jacket,gloves,helmet. regardless of how long you've been riding you should take the coarse yourself. there are bad riding habits you will pass on if you teach her yourself and theres always something to be learnt. i've taken the basic coarse 2 or 3 time before,with friends thats scared to to it alone,and seems i learn something new every time.
also here if you drop the bike at anytime, you fail.

Honestly, I have heard the classes giving at the dealers are well worth it and highly recomended by guys with 20 plus years riding experience. I am gonna be at Big Swamp this morning to get a tire put on, which is in Opalika and can get some information from that dealership and the one in Columbus if you want me to. I can give you my number if you want.

Classy took the Adlut training coarse here in Fl. cheaper by $100 than the same as HD offered! Have her check the local schools to see if they offer a program!

My advice to you also is....if she wants to do it now, let her!

I fully agree with you Croc, I am trying my best to support her 100%. The only down fall I see is she wantes her own bike as well LOL, DARN that virus.....
