  • WoooHoooo New set installed!

My buddy that manages Cycle Gear near to me brought my LePera
seat by last night. I installed it this morning and have been enjoying it all day. The reason I went with another LePera is just that their
quality is soooo gooooood, and they fit perfect, and they are so reasonably priced, I just don't need to go anywhere else.
It feels great, and really put me "into" the bike. It's probably about
an inch lower, but I really feel like I'm now part of the bike. Not as
much padding as the stocker, but way better feeling. No pressure points on my butt that I've discovered yet. I love the look of it, and thought I'd share some pics at different angles so you can see how well it hugs the bike. I left the little rubber bumpers glued to the fender,
I think they keeps the stock seat off of the fender and prevents the chafing of the paint. They should have done something about that problem elsewhere too, as even after only 500 miles, the top of the battery cover and the fuse cover are both severely dulled from the stock seat making contact with the painted areas. Why can't people figure this stuff out??????!!!!! Now they look like crap.....Thanks.
Well here are a few pics......
    Regards Sonny

Looks great! I have a Le Pera Daytona on mine and I think it looks great. But for me it sucks on long distance rides and I even have the gel insert. I'll keep the seat and get a pad or something, maybe an Airhawk. I have to agree Le Pera's are good looking seats!

Cool looking set you have there. I like your seat too! hahaha. just messing with ya. I would love to do a solo seat on mine but the factory one really fugged up my paint.

Thanks Everyone. I like this seat alot. It may not be as comfy as the stocker on those 200 mile plus rides, but it sure has been nice so far.
The paint thing sure bugs me though. I wonder why they can't do like some other manufactures do and apply a few strips of the clear protective
film on the scuffable areas. They could put them almost in the exact same spots on everybike. That stuff is tough and would be abrasion resistant
for quite a long time. It's easy to remove, and it would work wonders for saving the paint.
I looked at some of the used bikes yesterday while I was picking up the Fender nut, and a Shock pre-load spanner, and everyone that I saw that
had a different seat installed had destroyed paint on it. It's really a shame.
I have a friend of a friend who is a great bike painter, and I'm going to see if he can do anything with the spots on my two covers. If it's inexpensive
enough, I'll have him do it, and then go buy some of that protective film and install it for whenever I install the stock seat.
It's kind of funny, they had the "caution" about unhooking the battery and causing sparks sticker on top of the battery cover, right in line with where
the seat rubbed on the cover............I peeled it off and I had a nice unscuffed spot right there. I'll quit yaking or I'll just get pissed again.
                  Thanks again everyone.
                  Regards Sonny
