I am buying a 2010 crossbones, and was wondering if any of you who own one, could tell me the widest measurement of the bike? I am trying to see if it will fit through the side door of the house and into the utility room, if it won't I am going to have some one widen it, before I get back home, so it will fit. Do not want it left sitting outside in the winter weather. This seems to be the fastest and easiest option for a quick fix until after the winter weather and all passes so a garage or something can be built to house the new bike.

If you don't have the room have the dealer throw in winter storage for free. I think doorgunnerjgs did that when he bought his new dyna.x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x

Thanks Boss, for the assist, and making the phone call. I was talking to the Mrs's a few ago, and mentioned I was takening her up on her offer about the Utility room, she laughed and asked if her new 1200 Low will look ok sitting next to the Xbones. Yes I was a retard I asked what 1200 Low, I was politly informed that is what she wants, so I have to stick to my deal to teach her how to drive not just ride 2up this spring. I knew she wanted one but I thought it would pass LOL. Guess not, guess I will soon have 2 bikes parked at the house. I suppose this is where you tell me it is like a can of pringles, once you start you can not stop?? :laughout

the widest point is the bars ill go re-check the measurement but im sure it 33 inches..back in a minute
im back ok i was wrong the bars are 36 inches wide ,but when you measure from outside of levers it almost 39 inches
you can turn you bars to get them through a dorrway i have done it
other than the bars the widest point is the floorboards and when folded up the bike is 28 inches wide
hope that helpsLast edited by colonelangus; 09-23-2010, 01:25 PM.09 Softail Springer FLSTFBT "AKA" Heritage Fatbones Touring

No but really, there is two steps 7inches tall each (Bricks). I was going to have to install a ramp of some kind, already had that built into my plans :-) ...
