i got Melanie a helmet from a friend. we've got her helmet, leather jacket and riding pants. now we got to find her some gloves. i'm gonna let her ride with the light weight winter gloves. just for in the yard, but she'll have some real leather gloves before she goes down the track.

she told me she didn't want to ride til she got all the safety equipment, and i'm proud of her for that. i can't wait til there comes a day where me and her is racing at the same track and maybe against each other............................ and to answer your question. no, i won't let her win. she'll have to earn it.

i think she'll like it.

she don't know it yet but shes going to ride today.i got the bike out and lubing the chain , checking the clutch, airing up the tires and making sure the brakes are fine.

yea, definitely gonna have the camera, prolly video the first ride or crash, i hope she does better than i did the first time. my pop put me on a mini bike went thru our yard, then the neighbors yard and started down the hill before i thought about trying to stop. and only had rear brakes,that was a flat piece of metal that when you pushed the brake down it made the flat metal contact the tire to slow me down. needless to say i wasn't listening one bit and hopped on that t hing and twisted it wide open. first i'll have her learn the brakes and she'll have to show me she knows which hand is front and which is back for starters, then i'm gonna have her find the kill switch..
