Don't ride while listening to your "Dethklok" playlist.

Since about a week after I got the sporty last year, I've been usin' my iPod and Skullcandy buds as earplugs. Sucker is LOUD, too much to sit above it constantly and not get eardrum blisters.
So I use plugs (as many do)... mine just play good tunes, too.

What is playing seriously affects my riding style. I'm far too aggressive and act the fool with my hardrock or metal on, but way mellower and easy-going with Jimmy Buffet, or my blues mix playing.

Yes I do have a Dethklok playlist, and it's great, but dangerous.

Interesting,I was thinking of taking my MP3 player while I was riding. If I do I'll be sure to put some Eagles or Neil Young on. LOL

HAha...wow...no shit, I was listening to 5FDP last night on my Ipod and I wondered how it would be riding while listening, never done that. I'm guessing their Bad Company cover might cause me to do some silly things. I absolutely dig that band and their music. (rockhorns)

And if you do wanna try it, I highly recommend Skullcandy's FMJ earbuds. The ones with the 11mm drivers, not the 9mm version!

They anchor into your skull and actually have good bass! Out of earbuds!

My playlists incorporate Nazareth, Nickelback, Chickenfoot, Breaking Benjamin, lots of loud and rowdy stuff. I'm a hard rock fan, with leanings towards metal... I love Dethklok.
Somehow fitting that the best metal band around is a cartoon band. Ironically excellent!
I use Southern Rock if I deliberately wanna keep up the pace, but not so much in traffic.

Jimmy Buffet is perfect in FL, and guys like Kansas, Al Stewart, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd are nice to ride to, but I get younger and therefore more bulletproof with those like Dio, Madness, etc.

Has to do with one's particular musical idiom, I guess.

I got no problems. I wear a rag cause I am understanding it's against the law out here to have headphones or buds on both ears so it's not obvious tho.

FMJs do! they insert solidly enough to resonate the skull bones. That's why the bass is there. Especially the foam plugs. Pinch 'em down before inserting and they expand into the ear channel.
