Riding down the road and the CopGlide just died. It turns over but won't fire. Luckily I was just 40 miles from my dad's house so my brother came and got me. What to check first. I am new to the whole fix it yourself idea.

Sounds like ignition problem. Can't really help but I'd check for spark first.Bud

Won't do anything at all? Start with the ECM connection....Ground wire to starter...Battery connections and basic stuff like that..

Battery connections are good. It turns over, just won't fire. I disconnected the PC-III and plugged the O2 sensors back in but still won't fire.Tommy

I would check spark and make sure ya got it if ya got that then it might be a fuel system problemHERD Member #114

Start simple first. I can't tell you how many times I've fixed a no start problem on friends bikes by adding gas. True story!Whatever doesn't kill me....HAD BETTER START RUNNING!

May sound funny but, a while back, parked at a store, apparantly some SOB played with my plug wires. They lost contact 30 miles down the road. I had no indication until they came off, in the intersate..Those who say it can't be done should get in the way of those doing it.

That looks like the original seat on your bike. They have a dead man switch under them or at least my dads did. Check for that, may be that simple.HERD MEMBER #00027
