Saturday, the weather was supposed to be great, so I wanted to take my Bud and his wife back down some beauty roads and riding areas they haven't seen in Michigan. Things don't always go as planned, and the ride was scrubbed Sat. am. There is a local landmark kinda place that changed ownership this spring, and was having a grand reopening Saturday. The place is called The Trading Post, had everything you need for hunting, fishing, camping.etc. The property also has an abundance of "shops", clothing, good food souvenirs, all in the west type settings. The new owner gave the place a good make over and was having their first bike show during the day. Also a stage set up with local musicians playing through the day. Frank, who rode the black fat bob last weekend with us to Mt. Pleasant said he was going up the bike show. I'm not the kind of bike contest person, so I told him I'd see him there, take a look and go around town, where there was other activities going on.
A few pics of my weekend.
New face life of the trading post
The new look and some bikes

The place cleaned up nice

The stage

Some bikes
Al, owns a local indy parts and clothing shop.

a couple nice local builds

Nice paint on a R K

With mixed reviews the "custom" winner

I didn't catch who won the "cruiser" category.
While I was grabbin' some fries and a Pepsi. a couple friends entered my bike in the show. I was kinda bummed cuz it's not really my thing and I didn't was to waste a beauty day in a parking lot.
The stock winner

Needless to say, the little trophy and $50 gift certificate made me feel a little better(ok, a lot) for missing my ride.
Osco* you are correct, the bags and shield don't hurt the bike............one little bit.
