East Coast Sturgis

Anyone here going to the East Coast Sturgis? I live in MD (about 3 hours away) and I am riding out there Saturday the 14th with a few guys. Just wondering if anyone from here is heading out there.

Little Orleans is in Western Maryland. Far from the Rat Race in Spirit but not so far in miles! A 2 hour drive/ride from the center of Baltimore or Washington DC. 2 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh, Pa. 3 hours from Richmond Va.

Located in the Allegany Foothills. Don't let the name fool you though. Little Orleans is mountains. Big beautiful mountains! ( don't want to fall off em' mountains) That's the best part about Little Orleans. The scenic roads, winding, climbing, descending and intersecting. But they all seem to lead to one place, APPLE MOUNTAIN home of the
" EAST COAST STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY "

Hmm 4 hours away without stops and couldn't stay the night so think I will pass on that one. If I had known earlier I would be able to get the time off.

Yeah Dan. I am going out there just for the fun of it. If it was 4 hours away though I wouldn't be going.

I would but its too much to turn in a day and actually enjoy some of what is happening. Figure with stops and all prolly would be real close to 5 hours out and another 5 home.

I will definately keep this in mind for next year. The next close to big event I plan on doing is the PA state H.O.G. rally in September

Sure does but had I found out about it sooner I would have taken the almost 24 hours of vacation I have left and gone.

Yeah that's it. Should be fun. They have a motorcycle demolition derby...that should be interesting to watch.

Looks like about a 4 hour trip for me. May have to put this on the list for next year.
