  • What paint to use for final coats on my engine?

Ok, so I painted my engine wi flat black BBQ paint as per daves advice, Now im gonna do a couple coats of wrinkle over it, my options are.....

Dupicolor spray on bed liner, Ive used this for other part on the bike, and it has the perfect finish, dries very fast, and I like how it sprays, But i have no clue as to the temp. It can handle.

VHT wrinkle plus, never used it, looks like you have to follow very specific instructions to get s good finish, and I've read it take 3 days to be dry. I really wanted to ride tomorrow.

Harley wrinkle black, I don't have a can of this, so i don't really know anything about it other than it's $25 a can.

also be carefull as to how thick you layer it on. too thick and it may raise the temps a few degrees holding heat in

I used the VHT wrinkle paint and cure it with a heat gun. It came out real nice but I did wait a few days too. Just take your time for a nice looking finish.

The VHT instructions say you gotta do different coats in different directions to get it to turn out good, I can't really do that in some of the hard to reach areas.
