After going through town setting off all the car alarms (annoying, it doesn't do it if I ride close to the center line), I got out on the open road only to discover I can't really hear whether I am over or under RPM's in any given gear. My pipes may be a bit loud. Since I am still under the 500 mile mark, I don't want to run it wrong. Any suggestions that don't involve changing exhaust? :new1I try to follow the manuals suggested shift speeds, but it doesn't feel right. Is additional vibration normal for starting a higher gear in a lower RPM?

I just broke my pig in a few months ago. I found that the suggest shifting speeds were far too slow, I usually added 5 to 10 depending on the gear. I know that I shift whenever I feel like it and now that its broke in I run it out to make it as loud as possible. At least you know when you downshift at too high of speed....the rear wheel lets you know that...hahaOfficial HERD Member #00144

I just can't figure out why they don't put a tach on most of the new bikes. The MoCo has done everything possible to attract new customers. They ain't like riding anything else.
It's just a matter of time, and you will feel the bike, for speed, shifting and such...................There is a special place in our hearts... Carved out for our memories
