  • Added The American Flag

I know this is no big deal but on the rack I had it took some modification. I had to use a hack saw on the welds that hold my vertical bars to the rear cross bar. The mount on the base of the flag holder was big enough around that the welds was keeping it from seating good. I took the hack saw blade to each inside weld that the mount was up against. That did the trick.

Here are a few pics. Here is the rack I have.

Here is it is with the Flag installed. You can see the big welds on the other bars.

Thanks guys. It said Polished Stainless Steel. It is a big piece of metal that is for sure. It rotates down to move out of the way if you load up the rack. It does look better at an angle, right? Not straight up?

I actually added a flag to my bike today also. Those metal things are expensive and you all know how cheap I am so I just stuck that wooden stick in my sissy bar (not as clean as Dan did) and off I went. I'll post a pic as soon as I can.

My mount was ordered by my dealer and it came from Pro Pad Inc in Mooresville, NC. They had one I tried first but it was for the rack up on a tour pack and was too small. So I had to have one that fit a 5/8" bar.
