  • Bars ordered

Ordered my new bars and cables this morning should be here in about a week 1/2 I can't wait. I will try to post up pics as i go along. I made a set out of PVC this weekend to get an idea of how tall a bar I wanted to go with. (I don't remember if i saw this on the other forum or here but thanks to whomever posted it.) I decided to got with 16" bars.

I have been trying to figure out how I would measure and select a size...you just showed me. Thank you.

I'm thinking 14" apes, but honestly wasn't sure. I'll be building with PVC soon

I thought about going with 14" but after talking with Josh and a couple other people decided to go up to 16" measured these pvc bars at 17 1/2" to account for the risers and they were a perfect fit for me at almost 6'3. Just wish it wasn't going to take almost 2 weeks to get here.

Didn't know about any gathering, I am assuming you are referring to the Red River. Is it a weekly event?

A little PVC glue and you can mount what you made up and have something really unique.....Glenn erboxerboxerbox

Keeping in mind that the height of your bars is directly related to the height of your risers and your SEAT. I have a Badlander seat. Thin and provides about 1.5" of butt-lift. These are 16" apes on my bike, with 1" risers.

If I went to a stock seat, or a Corbin, etc, the seat would be highr and move me up higher, making the bars look just as high, but less of a reach for me.

**Note: The technical info I provide is suggestive. I am not a perfeshunel.
