  • License plate light?

    Anyone know what the law is? Does the plate have to be lit up?The V doesn't have one! :babe

    In TX I believe it is law.
    It's not "derailed", as long as the last post relates to the post above it...it's just on a different rail, heading into a more interesting direction

      Currently, all registered motor vehicles in the United States are required to have an illuminated plate light system....

            Got a ticket for it on a truck I owned 15 years ago. Things were somewhat lax then. Now you can barley fart in your car or on your bike and get nailed.

                mine was on the wrong side( i moved the tag beneath the tail light, but the clear part of the lens was still on top) a cop in the parkin lot of a local restaurant noticed and suggested i get it fixed....ive since got the lay down lens with the tag light on bottom....he was cool about it, but couldnt guarantee some other LEO would be

                        V-girl, they make a LED stick on that will get you legal until you decide what to do permantly. Don't have a link, but probably most auto parts stores will have 'em.
