Have been going through this site (http://www.nightrider.com) reading the various information about EFI. I was wondering what the general consensus was about the vailidty of the information conatined on this site. I was also curious to know what y'all thought about the products offered there as well.

I have looked at the site before but at Robbies prompting I was just reading up on the EFI systems and was looking at the products on this site.

    Thanks.

I have the Nightrider Xied's on my Night Train and they have made a hell of a difference in the way it runs. Made the heat situation a lot more bearable as well as improving the performance. The biggest area that I have really noticed them is when I am running in 6th gear on the highway. I don't have to downshift everytime my speed drops below 60 mph anymore. I can roll the throttle on from about 50 mph in 6th now which is a tremendous improvement from stock. I put the variable Xied plug in modules on at the beginning of the summer and I really like them.

Thanks Dawg, thats exactly the kind of feed back what I was looking for. I am not really interested in going to the full fuel management system and was thinking about the Xied's.

Right on WND, I tried the smaller ones first and they helped but I needed a little more. Went with the adjustable Xied so I could dial it back if I needed to. I run those wide open on the variable resistor which gives me a 13.7 afr on the closed loop operation. You will notice a little hit on your fuel mileage but nothing to drastic. I put the smaller set on Vixens Fat Boy which still has the stock pipes and air cleaner and it stopped the off idle ping as well as helping with the cruising in 6th gear issue too. One other added benefit is it makes your bike sound better too ;)

Thanks to Bigdawgs research, I have Nightriders on the Mistress, and definitely notice a difference...Like Bigdawg said, 6th gear is a lot friendlier and more useful at a wider speed range. Also sometimes used to have a little hesitation when throttling from a dead stop.....Not any more. Was definitely a worthwhile purchase for me!
Sometimes it takes a whole tank of fuel before you can think straight!!!
