To make a long story short, I had to quiet my bike up very fast due to my endorsment test tomorrow.( after riding around for the last 2 years because the DMV forgot to put it back on when I renewed my lic. ) I ended up cutting some fender washers in half and stagering them in my baffles,(V&H Longshots) welding them every 3 inches. It's actually sounds pretty good, I might just leave it like this. Plus I feel that I gained a ton of low end grunt. Just thought I would share because it turned out really good.

Just a quick update. I have to pull the modified baffles out and probably install some new ones. While the low end is great, I lost almost all of my upper end. Any one have any baffles for a set of V&H longshots?Justin, HERD member 00016

My bike had 2" drag pipes on it when I got it. Way too loud for me. But the pipes were new, Looked cool, And I'm a cheap bast*rd. Bought a set of the slide in baffles. Better, but still a bit too loud. I pulled the baffles back out, Wrapped a bit of fiberglass insulation around em, And shoved them back in. Just right for me.Official HERD Member #00187
