I'm thinking of ordering my Vance&Hines short shot staggered thursday for my Wide Glide, Any thoughts on this? Anyone seen them up close and personal? I think they have a good price on them. Just looking for a little input from you guys before I purchase, Thanks:wolfer

V&H makes great pipes, got some on the Beast....awesome sound.....I got the long one's.

Had V&H's on my last two bikes (big shot duals and dresser duals) and love the quality and sound. No experience personally with the short shot staggered but I am sure you won't be disappointed. I did end up installing the quiet baffle which gave it a deeper rumble and did away with the "raspy" sound I was experiencing with the standard baffle.

I have the Big Shots Staggered on my Softail. I was with a group of guys earlier this week. One guy came up to me and said: "Do me a favor. The next time you start your bike, wait for me to start mine, because once yours is started, I can't tell if mine is running." :)

I like the Big Radius, as they look great, but it's as if everyone has them now. I like my bike to be different (at least as much as possible without building a custom bike). I haven't seen or heard the short shots. I would imagine they will be loud and sound good. As far as the looks, that is a personal thing. If you like them, that is what matters.

I have short shots on my 1200.. they look good, sound good and are made really well.. and are fairly loud. I'm sure that would be exaggerated on your 1450.

The only downside is that they're not so good for power and torque. I'm not so sure how much the difference would be in the short shots and say Drum's Big Radius pipes, but it would be noticeable on a dyno on the low end.

Otherwise, they're a great choice! I've enjoyed mine..

I absolutely love the sound og the Big Shots Staggered. I also like the sound of the Short Shots but IMO the BSS offer a deeper bassier (Is that a word) sound. I don't think you can go wrong with either...and my neighbors love me for it :D.

I put the short shots on mine and couldn't be happier I like the way they look and sound, I did not notice a difference in power although like it was said earlier I'm sure you would see it on a dyno.

had the short shots on my 96 fatty like doublej...it was cammed(EV 27) and the decel with the cam and pipes was amazing

got the V&H ground pounders on the 99 fatty, same cam ( EV 27) but a totally different sound and decel...may play with some baffles cause those pipes just go with that bike

I forgot that Axxell had the short shots on his bike. They sounded good, too. It's all personal.

I just got mine yesterday. I heard a pair last Sunday at the swap meet I was at. I can't wait for my 1000 mile service so I can wrench them in. The Softail I heard them on sounded awesome. Look on ebay. I got mine for under 300 shipped. New.

I have the Big Radius 2 x 2's on my Wide Glide, and I love them. They have a nice rumble at idle, and sound great on the road!

everybody seems to like them and I am no different...I have the Side Shots on my night train and I can only say this about them....That Chit is LOUD and I love it :)
