I think it was Moto trying to convince me to get a battery tender for the V-Rod....well...I got the new battery and put that in and checked the current draw...now the battery that goes in a V is the smallest of the HD bunch. So theres a big draw on it...would last about a week before it would go dead. So then I remember about the digital dawg keyless thing I got installed over the winter...BINGO!!! All that stand -by electronics uses up the battery, same as setting the alarm! So...there ya go...when not in use it gotta be plugged in...I never did set the alam on the bike when it was in the garage...got enuff security around here without that LOL

LOL...it is a system that lets you walk up to your bike and start it without putting any keys in....you have the thingy in your pocket....the RG came with it...the V-Rod was a total PITA...the whole ignition thing was messed up..keys falling out on the exhaust etc....your newer bikes probably have it striaght from the factory!Official "Herd Booze taste tester!"
