  • Flashing brake light?

I was in Decatur this afternoon and saw an Ultra pulling up to a stop sign and his brake light flashed like the red lights on a police car. Bright and very visable. This is the first one I've seen and I want one. Might save being rear ended. Problem/Question: I looked on the net and there are several different brands. Who makes the best and most visable??? I assume one would have to change to LED. Any advice????.....Glenn

Don't have to change to a LED at all there is a module (Back off module) that does this, wires into your brake light, some even have different settings on how it flashes. There is also one that wires into the speed sensor and when it detects the bike slowing it actuates. With that said I do like the LED light better than relying on that one little filament to not be broken after hitting a bump or two.

I just tap my foot on my brake, it's a cheaper version.
It's not "derailed", as long as the last post relates to the post above it...it's just on a different rail, heading into a more interesting direction

I thought about just tapping the brake but when I got smacked I was already stopped with the brake on. I suppose that's why I'm leaning towards the flashing light or a extra LED light bar that flashes. IMO

Early mornings, when it's dark, I'll throw my hazards on when I'm at a stoplight....for a while I was tapping the brake too, but who knows how long I was doing that, while my brake light was stuck on.

Hey Dan, Do you have the Back Off unit on your bike? I was wondering where people are putting the Back Off box?
