Was going to do some cleaning on the trans. and come across this tag.

well Marty, the power house transmissions follow right in line with the other major brands out there...I.E. baker, andrews etc.
with yours being a 4 speed, it was obviously designed for the pre-5 speed era, and although the trans is a bit older, the right side drive types were built for a larger rear tire accomodation, and incorporated tight fit gearing, and heavy duty brass shift components...all in all, a good unit..
they are still available in the 5 speed, and 6 speed configurations, ranging $1200 to $ 2700 dollars, based on type and finish...

A little off topic but I gotta say a 6 speed in a Shovel would be cool. Big bucks though. Don't know anyone in my area running a 6 speed in a Shovel. Man... that would be the chit. After finding problems witht he engine cases I have decided to go with some S&S gen cases,run an alternator and use the gen accesory drive for a Super Charger.:rubberdown
