  • Street Glide Transmission is DONE!

    And here are the spare parts! Bearings were all over the place and one was even GONE! You can see on the shaft how it's not smooth where the ring goes! Also the pulley, although you can see it in the picture, but they placed it on the balance machine, gave it a spin and that thing was dancing like a one legged chicken!

    All internal components are brand new again!

    Frank, what'd they suspect was the cause???

      It could have started with the pulley being warped. You could see (according to them) that the belt once tight to specs, when you look at the hole indicator it was going up and down. Possible the nagging tight...not tight....tight....not tight pulled the main shaft and the bearings busted loose.

            this type of issue is typically caused by the rider being short and trying to overcompensate by riding very fast....

                    Seems that belt tension would be set correctly every time your rear tire was replaced!

                      I can see the warp in that pulley sitting on the finger. Glad you got your bike back Frank, means we will see you in a couple of weeks.
