Reset my code about 2 months ago and practiced the override procedure. Think I will start doing it about once a month. Never know when you'll need it.

battery in my FOB is crapping out...need to learn this and commit to memory.

Rode the bike to my kids barn week or so ago...when I went to get on the bike and come home, it would not recognize the FOB and disarm the alarm - took me a few minutes of placing the fob under the seat, near the dash, etc...finally it flashed ok and I quickly started the bike.

Carry an extra battery in your saddle bag or tour pak...................I carry a fresh battery in my tour pak at all times. Change out the battery in your FOB every Jan 1. just like you do with your smoke detectors. And copy the written portion Brian posted into a text editor and save it your phone....................Then you should be covered and have no worries.

bought 3 batteries today...replaced both fobs and put a spare in the left side saddle bag (in my tool kit). Also went out and sat on the bike to pretend I was riding it - where is the warm weather!!??

changed the code so I can start w/o the fob as well.

it's been a great day at the office
