  • Longest Trip Yet!

I know this is short for most of you, but Friday my riding buddy and I took a ride on a gorgeous day (except for being a little windy later). We rode up to Antioch, Illinois and crossed into Wisconsin for my first ever trip out of state and posted a total of 101 miles for my longest trip ever! It was GREAT!!! Being Good Friday, there were a LOT of bikes on the road which made the trip even more enjoyable.

Have I ever told you that I LOVE my Sporty? :D (Yeah, I thought so!)

Bah, 101 miles is a nice ride! It's not too long, not too short, a pefect ride if ya ask me. Those are the kinda rides where just before I turn around I stop at the nearest WAWA grab a cup of coffee and usually end up talking with some older person that rode their bike around the block to hang and talk with people.

              Benefit Ride For Charlie Young

On Saturday I went on my 1st long ride (260 miles round trip), biggest ride (110 bikes at least!), and 1st benefit ride (for a old friend's very sick relative who's finally out of I.C.U. but not out of the woods yet) from Plains to Warm Springs. Rode with good friends, ran into old friends, and made some new ones. Had a blast!

Thanks all, I was surprised that my butt didn't bother me at all. I worry that the butt or legs or arms or hands are going to bother me, but so far they have been fine. Not bad for an old f*rt!

You're right, but I would like to make that trip. We'll have to plan something later this spring! I'm sure I can also get my riding buddy (and son's father-in-law) to go up with us!

btw- My son works in South Elgin.

I do about 80 miles a day commuting to and from work, but I kinda don't count that as a ride
