  • Rode on a Nascar track in Charlotte

This is a video of a ride I did last Friday on Charlotte Speedway. I took this with the $35 video glasses some of you may remember we talked about before. The first minute of this is me looking around waiting to start. (I'm still getting the hang of these glasses...)

That's great Jim! What was the deal to get to do that?

That was pretty cool. So have fast did ya get the bike up to? I think Dover has a thing where ya can pay and take your personal vehichle on the track like that, maybe even Pocono

I was told the first folks to register would get to ride from the dealership to the speedway and ride the track. I was chosen and when I got to the staging area there was a total of 500 Harleys there for the ride. Obviously since it was a HOG rally you had to be on a Harley to get in. About a 20 mile ride to the track. They let us on in groups of 40 bikes at a time. It was a very cool experience.

We had a pace car so I only could get it up to around 80. But you have to get it moving to even stay up on the banks.

Funny thing to me was that while I was doing 80 around turn 4 the real race cars are doing more than twice that speed..

I bet it was a great experience. Specially if you have never been on a track before. Thanks for sharing!
