  • Ride to Poopy's...Savanna Illinois

The date was set and teh weather men (ahh weather guessers) were saying cloudy and NO RAIN until 6 pm. WRONG! My wife and I met up with some friends and GSpot at Zylstra Harley in St.Charles, Illinois to ride to Dixon Illinois to meet H8Tank and then ride to a fairly well known biker bar in Savanna Illinois about a 120 mile one way trip. About an hour into the ride we hit a little rain, we reached Dixon and talked with H8Tank and decided to meet in Sterling Illinois and head out from there. Luckily GSpot had his iphone and was keeping an eye on the huge storm moving fast in our direction. It started to rain and we pulled into a sort of gas station (open but no gas) to wait out the first wave. The plan was to head out to poopys (about an hour away) in between the waves of storms rolling through. It stop we headed out and reached poopyes just as the next wave hit. We ate had a few beers and a few laughs and headed home. All a good day even with the rain we got a chance to shoot the shit and tell some stories. GOOD PEOPLE, GOOD FOOD, GOOD BEER, GOOD TIMES! Here are some pics. Thanks to my wife for taking some awesome pics!

Bob is the only one that had rain gear, after we left it didnt rain, i think those waders scared the storm away

Made it to poopys..another one for the HERD!

I like the dog. If he can't eat it or f**k it, he pisses on it. I can get behind that

I had a great time also. Great meeting you Tank and also liked saying "Hi" to Croc on the phone. I don't see the pictures though. Maybe it's me. Will write more tomorrow, time for bed.

Pictures are great and glad you all had a great time! H8Tank..thanks for the update over the phone! Rain forecasting might be a lot easier than doing a CLL375 site scenic tracking.

I will add a YELLOW Flag in Sterling Illinois and will name you 3 as Flag-Setters!

We also had a little "toast" to Tim but we couldn't remember his drink of choice. He was in our thoughts on Sunday. This was a nice day ride so I'm sure we'll do it again (or something similar) to meet up with others who couldn't make this one. Thanks to Wavman for setting it up.
