  • Help!! looking for a christmas gift

    i am hoping one of you can help..... my man wants to take the saddle bag guards?? off his road king. and there is some sort of conversion kit that makes this possible. that way if he wants to take them off the chrome rails are not sticking out. can anyone help me find out what they are called or how to find them. been looking on the internet for hours......:gonfishn

    What year RK does he have. The Street Glide or Road Glide has the saddle bag supports you are looking for. I see them all the time on Ebay as factory take offs. You could also get them at the dealer.

          If he has a 2011 Road King any saddlebag supports from a 2009 and up Street Glide or Road Glide Custom will fit. Like I stated earlier; you can find new factory take-off online for about $100 off retail price. You could also buy new at the dealer.

              No once removed nothing sticks out, you wont be able to tell



              I would say this though, they will and do save your asz in case of an emergency, best to leave them

                  Cant tell you how many times I have had t boned bikes come in here, and the guy walked away cause the guards saved his or her leg

                    well in that light, he may just have to take care of it himself... not taking anything of safety away.. heck I still run engine guards for the same reason. thank you for the input!!!!
