  • My 70 FLH

So I've owned this bike since 1990. It original came from the Riverside police dept and was one of 6 bikes ordered for their drill team. It was only used for special occasions including the Rose parade. It was auctioned off in 1979 with me being the fourth owner, as I know all the previous owners except the original purchaser at the auction. I gave it a full mechanical restoration shortly after I purchased, but was never fully disassembled. Currently a 1/2" stroker with all S&S internal components. It came with every factory accessory except a hack, which I have all the dresser stuff stored, but I prefer the stripped version. I've tried to keep it looking somewhat original with the only obvious modifications showing is the S&S Super E, fishtails, the early standard solo seat, and the flanders bars. It's a very nice riding bike along with being very dependable. It would be nice to know if any of the other bikes purchased are still around and somewhat original. The chrome sheetmetal was ordered from the factory and still looks pretty good for it's age.

So the hand shift with the rocker foot clutch was a factory option until 1977. lot of motor cops liked it as it left a hand free for a gun. Not to be confused with the non factory use of a jockey shift and a suicide clutch found on a lot of choppers and bobbers

When the original posting said police and drill team, I was expecting something all white, like what the shriners rides, what a surprise to see the solid chrome.
