I stopped In at Cycle-Rama an picked up my X14ieD an the guy
behind the counter had a bran spankin new 48,,Black of course.

He had Black Rush slip ons,,and kept the chrome pipe covers.
Had the 1.75" baffles In em,,
THAT is the sound I want !!!
Deep base,,no tinny tune, He said he had the smallest amount
of De-cell pop and reccomended I get the 1.5" baffles.
Bike was stock except for his X14ieD.
Was wayyy deeper than the SE's and SE II's,,,

BTW I'm still on the stock banana's so I'm easily Impressed D

    Whatcha think guys??
There are soundbites on the site but the real thing sounded much better,,,

    The sound made me,,,:vgirl

Osco, I think that is what Steveston just recently put on his Street Glide. Very deep but not obnoxiously loud. Very nice!

              X14ieD Installed,,,simple plug n play,,,
Before on a cold start I would get ONE and only One Miss at 15 seconds of idle,,
Now No Miss at all,,perfectly smooth idle,,odd since the X14 only works In closed loop mode.
Can I feel It In the Throttle up's ?
              Yup I can.

Got the Rush pipes on my E-Glide and wife's Tri-glide. Also had them on Wife's Deluxe. VERY happy with them. like what was already said, great sound without being obnoxiously loud.

Still partial to the Pythons on my Dyna and wife's Sportie ................ they are obnoxiously loud

                        Stealth / Rumble

There is something to quiet on the open road in the mountains... Although a soft rumble trailing behind is pretty cool as well....Each to his own RR... Now get your ass down and buy some real pipes....

xi4ied's do not change idle, sound and or speed as you said it only when throttling up.our efi runs on a open loop closed loop system the ied's only work when throttling up .that is how nightrider designed them and is why they work to get rid of hunting/surging when maintaining throttle at lower speeds around town.aslo lowers combustion temps by as much as 25* i never did check that though.if you go to nightrider.com and read it explains in detail how and why they work..i had them on my 07 nightster for over a year before i traded up to the softail no surging with this bike and the added oil capacity i wont need them for this bike..besides ill never use a piggyback system again of any sort..super tuner is my next performance purchase

I hear ya Colonel,,My bike was perfect before the X14ieD,,It's just that I wanted the Rush slip on's.
I'll prolly never change the stock Air filter, I like being able to throw It In the Dishwasher,,
when the wife Is at work of course:=)
the 13.8 to 14.1 AFR Is all I want, didn't wanna risk the 14.7 with free flowing mufflers,,
even tho everyone says the stock set up can handle mufflers OR Air breather.

Man I got It bad !,,It's takin some real effort not to order the Rush muff's and put em on the Credit card.
End of October an I'll get em.

Running Xied, rush with 1.750 baffles, SE air cleaner. The Xied definatley helped in many ways. The larger baffles do not have anough backpressure I was told. Tried the 2.0 baffles, sounded good, use on long trip maybe too loud. Was told the 2.0 may have an affect on the engine.
Those who say it can't be done should get in the way of those doing it.
