  • Easy Egg Omelets when camping

Ok, so you are camping and the last thing you want is to have a lot of dishes to wash after preparing breakfast. Here is a great way to make Omelets while camping with zero clean up.

    1) Prepare your omelets before you leave home = mix all desired ingredients eggs, ham, sausage etc and place in a zip lock bag(one serving per bag). If a group outing, write names on bags.

    2) Pack your zip lock bags in the ice chest

    3) When you wake up and are getting ready for the days activities put a pot of water on to boil.

    4) Place the zip lock bags with your pre mixed omelets into the boiling water and carry on with your getting dressed or what ever

    5) Boil omelets in the zip lock bags for 15 minutes, remove bags, cut open end and empty your perfect omelet onto paper plate

Yep a friend was telling me about these the other day! Said they tasted real good...better than regular omlets fried in the pan etc....

I imagine they come out bag shaped....must look a little odd....but tastes good!

I spent 23 years in the military V-girl, I am used to eating out of cans and bags. LOL C-Rats and MRE will ruin any culinary refinements that you have.

I was wonderin....theres so much heat off the RG engine, with the lowers on now its completely wicked....

If I was to put a can of baby dicks or canned chile on there somewhere, it would get pretty hot!

Never eaten them hot...just on Ritz crackers
It's not "derailed", as long as the last post relates to the post above it...it's just on a different rail, heading into a more interesting direction

That is a clever idea campbell. Should we use heat type zippy bags?

I like the dog. If he can't eat it or f**k it, he pisses on it. I can get behind that

Take a look at this picture perfect plate of breakfast. I am the cook when we gop camping and my recipes are strictly locked up safely in my saddle bags. hahaha
