So there I was... years older, decrepit, in no real condition to be hot-dogging around on this Ferrari-red aluminum/carbon fiber hybrid thoroughbred; but I was on it anyway, having fun and feeling my oats.

I drew up short. There it was... the nemesis to all riders, bicycle or motorcycle...

      Grass clippings! NOOOOO!!

I congratulated myself for pulling up short. Surely this wise action would illicit praise from my wife, who nowadays doesn't see anything I say or do as praiseworthy, now that we've been thrust into this part-time pseudo-quarantine shelter at home crap.

The engineer in me kicked in. Lessee... I'm on a much faster, skinnier Zaffiro 700-28C tire, with 90 psi, the contact patch would be approximately the size of a raisin.

The devil in me made me do it. I rode ahead. And MADE IT!!

      Survived another one...

Just this week on our local Township community page on Facebook they (a Twp. Board Supervisor) posted a pic of a local road that passes through a local farm up the road from me and publicly shammed the old farmer by name for spreading his clippings across the road. Yet for years no one gave a crap about all the cow droppings on the roadways being a hazard.

So all the MC pages I follow on FB are posting about the clippings now. I've pissed off a few when I made this and posted it on their threads.

Okay, I got this new to me JD mower with a suck/vacuum system aboard, it does a wonderful job, unless, the clippings is ultr wet and green, then, it can plug up, so, I have taken to removing ths suck machine, installing the flapper on the discharge side and mowing without baggage. So, I wait until said clippings is dried out some, then with the suck muscheen installed run over it all again and pickup the clippings.
Now, I was wondering, instead, instead of emptying them bags full of clippings into the compost pile that is getting huge, is it okay to throw them all out onto the street in front of My house ?
I mean, there may be but a motorcycle ot ten a day comes by, and I know way less than four hundred bicycles, so, it should be good, yes ?
I will adda note, the clippings are mostly dried out so they shuld not be so slick as the wet green stuff that's just flung out there.

Did you stop, got off your bike and then walked across the clippings?

Knowing you....NO you ran over it like a badass biker.

it’s mountains and twistys. Lots of clippings, so when I’m in blind corners, I totally slow down
