I know it's not directly related to motorcycle, but this clip had really changed my attitude toward using the phone while driving. This could happen with anyone of us, so please drive safely...

Yep I told the wife last night to not text me while she knows I'm driving. I ain't gonna answer. That is how she normally knew if I was getting close to picking her up or not.

yep, thats the reason my son was hit by a car.....driver was texting on a phone....I hate that crap !

Too bad there is so many groups that want that video to not be shown publicly because its TOO graphic! Its a great video and I think it should be on a loop when you go to DMV for your license! Also should be a regular PSA spot on TV, maybe more people would get the hint that the devistation that is caused by just one slip up isn't worth it.

Yes, that video should be required viewing at the DMV and also should be shown to everyone who purchases a text capable cell phone! All it takes is a second to cause a serious accident. They did a good job putting it together, and while it is graphic, it gets the point across.

You can make people watch that stuff but it wouldn't do any good I bet. They have to be effected by it personally before it really sinks in.

I agree that a good portion of people wouldn't stop unless it personally affected them, but even if it affected a small portion of people it would be worth it. As it is now that video gets burried do to its graphic nature.

They banned texting here in Iowa. Calling, though don't bother me if a person can do it while paying attention. Problem is the people who drive n call the most disconnect from their driving seems like. I like being able to use my phone if I need to but if calling gets banned too, I'll be pretty understanding

Oh yeah, if watching that video saved one life it would be worth every second. If you had a gozillion people watch it and it prevented one parent form going what Gruss did, then yes its worth every second.

I had to take a driving safety course as a result of a speeding ticket. The guy teaching the class said that it less dangerous to drive strung out on coke than it was to drive while texting.
