Hey folks, I bring some bad news. Robbie, Big Wrom, was in a bad bike wreck.
his wife posted this on the hermembers forum a little bit ago

he was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center early thursday morning. has a broken femor, broken arm and wrist and cracked vertabrea. surgery went well and he is awake and talking.
Boss has the charity thing going on with HERD mouse pads. any donations made thru this will be passed along to Robbie.

I am going to call shortly to get an update on him and let him know that the entire HERD is thinking about him.

Please do what you can folks, he is HERD people just like the rest of us.

OK, I just talked to Robbie on the phone from the hospital.
he broke his femur in 2 places
broke his arm in 3 places
      and broke his shoulder

he is doing well, I told him we were all thinking of him and he said he very much appreciates it.

thoughts and prayers going out to our buddy right now

The mouse pad is just a fictional thing and if you want one, I'll send it. If not, that's also OK. It was created to accept donations for whatever cause we are collecting for. This one happens to be for a fallen HERD member and a good friend of ours.

I just spoke with Rob also. I did not want to get too much details from him and told him to hold off until he is mentally prepared to share it with everyone. He might be in the hospital for another week and hopefully he will get back on to update us. I also did not want to tie up his line so I kept it moderately to a short conversation to allow other calls that might be coming through.

He sounds like he is in pain but well medicated. It happened while he was just riding and not racing!

Sad...Very sad indeed specially when it happens to someone close!

        Prayers to Big Worm!

This is terrible news. Big Worm, we'll miss you around here, but we'll look forward to having you back soon. Take care, bro.

Frank, I am away, so I do not have my login info for the Graphic Arts site. I will take care of this when I return home.

We visited the website. Frank, no need to send another mouse pad (I forgot to write that in the box).
