Found this on the internet, could try it if it happens again:

Please log out, clear your browser cache*, close your browser, restart your browser, and try again.

              *To clear your cache:
For FireFox: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network Tab > Clear cache now
For Internet Explorer: Tools > Options > General tab > Browsing History subsection > "delete" button > "delete temporary files" button.

Well the only place I have ever seen a token would be Ebay. They use tokens to identify third parties that have access to your account. These maybe billing companies, third party listing tools, Square trade, and some other things. The token just identifies that you authorized permission for those companies to have access. This could also be something that a photo sharing site uses in a similar way when you upload photos to like a form, example photobucket. In this case it would give photobucket authorization to host any photos you post on a website. In your specific instance I'm not sure what site you were looking at and not sure what the token was for. Reloading the window may have been the token expired and just needed to be updated. Sorry I can't help beyond that.
