How much chap stick does it take to junk a keyboard ?

So, I've been outside for a few hours working on the sprinklers that the dog ate during early spring, and when i got finished, i came into the house to log onto the site for a bit..

As I began the log in, i felt a thick goo all over the keyboard, and looked down to discover an empty chap stick container on the keys !! (it wasnt synthetic, which was a real shame)...LOL

After a short Military style inquiry of my 3 boys, i discovered that my youngest boy had gotten frustrated with a game he was playing, and decided to retaliate by smearing an entire tube of chap stick (mint) onto the top of the keyboard !!!

Needless to say, i spent a "considerable" amount of time removing the stuff with q-tips, and wet wipes....

Mission accomplished...for today......I have also posted multiple warning signs on and near my computer.....additionally, any person, or persons caught with chap stick (mint or otherwise) will be escorted from the area, and delt with to the fullest extent of the law....( which in my case, means how i interpret it at the time)...LOL !!

But my keyboard does smell minty fresh......g

Crazy things happen......When I worked in IT years ago a lady spilled her soda in the keyboard. To get rid of the evidence before I showed up she dumped what was in the keyboard into the "black trashcan on her desktop as she called it" which turned out to be the CPU case. Then washed the keyboard in cold water to remove the stickyness. Needless to say "DOA".

My kids are great !
They try very hard to win approval from Mom and Dad, but then they go off and pull stunts like this....LOL !!
it's the 1 step forward, two steps back thing going on....
I would have been hung in the apple tree for doing something like that when i was a kid.....the old man kept a 1 inch square oak stick, about 2 feet long on the book case for all of my growing up years....it had the words "board of education" written down the side in black marker...
I ran like a skinned cat when i saw him reach for that thing !...LOL !!

I remember when I was a little kid, the only time I was ever bad...found my brother's school scissors and glue and cut all the flowers out of the new living room curtains and glued them on the fridge! It looked so pretty....:)
