just saw an article on the news, a man from Columbus Ohio will be given a funeral in Arlington with full Millitary honors. He was on the USS Magpie which sank in 1950 after hitting an enemy mine.
His body was never recovered, but recently his remains were found in South Korea, and after doing DNA testing on a couple cousins of his, he was positively identified.

thats 60 years after going down.

But he is now moving from a name on a monument somewhere to getting the honorable military funeral he deserves

Well, but now after hearing of alligations of our government getting names wrong on plots at Arlington, I just hope they get his name right when they perform services. There are also alligations that some soldiers are buried on top of each other. WTF?

Wow! That is a long time. Glad they will give him a proper burial in the place he deserves to be.

It's great to get to revel in a story like that going into the fourth weekend. God bless that man and God bless the powers that be that managed to bring him home
