Well, I got news yesterday that a friend of mine form Canada was prepping for the Hoka Hey thing the other day down in Florida, when aniother biker pulled a U turn in the middle of the road, and my buddy Tboned him. The guy on the other bike had to be rushed off to the hospital and they had to amputate his leg. My bud was bruised up , but planned on going to the start of the race. He got his bike to the dealer for repairs , and he got the call yesterday that his frame is bent on his bike. Kind of sucks, since he rode it all the way to Florida form the Western part of Canada. At least he is ok, though.

That does suck! But like others have said, at least he's in better shape than the other rider.
If I'd been able to find someone to sponsor me (for tire fixes, gas and food, etc), I'd have entered that race. I more than likely would've been addicted to my pain pills by the end, but I'd've made it to the end, one way or another. The Confederate States of America - Fighting terrorism since 1861

That sucks. At least your buddy is ok. To often it's the other way around. The guy who was minding his own business gets the shitty end of the stick. Still tough on the other rider as well. The hardest part about a Zombie Apocalypse, will be pretending I'm not excited!
