    Project for this winter.

    Well for those of you that were at Herdstock remember Josh and Dave sporting Apes.

    Well ever since I have had my bike I have not been happy with my current set up. This is the only bike I have had were my hands have been below my shoulders and I just can't get comfortable. On longer rides I have shoulder strain and it just does not feel right. I have talked to Dave about height and chrome versus powder coat black. Well this is what I have decided on. I will most likely be gathering parts for this project through out the summer and do it this winter when the wife is not riding with me. Would get my ass kicked if I took away from her limited riding season. LOL Anyway I am going to get Monkey bagger bars from Paul Yaffe, chrome and 10" don't want them too tall, and 10's are shoulder height. I think they are bad ass looking and of course I will have to throw a 21" front wheel after that.......... its never going to end is it?

    DO IT NOW!!!! I've wanted those bars for a long time but the build time is very long. I would love to hear how you like them. Your right it never ends.

        This a done deal... it will get done this winter. Even if I have to take vacation, trailer the bike to PA and clean Dave's garage while he hangs them. I will try and document the install when I do it. But it will have to wait for winter, as I have standing orders from Mrs DDB that the bike can't be down during riding season

              Croc, I would love to slam it to the ground and rake the shit out of it. Now that would be sweet a bagger that is raked with apes.

                    its an 08 and yes it does have the fly by wire....

                    CLL375 I would love to slam it and rake it. But I doubt that project will ever get past the approval stage. I have to keep it functional and resist the temptation to go crazy with it. Wife said that I can get another bike and do what I like to it. She considers this one her's. I guess I am just the pilot......

                    And Geespot... I just cant wait for HERDSTOCK.....

                      DDB..... you get off the computer right now and go kiss your wife!

                      that would be killer to have one bike just for a regular rider and one to do anything you want to it......

                        Trust me Josh, I know how good I have it with her and show her every chance I get.....                                   DDB, pro50 put a set of apes on his '08 SG. Looks good and he likes the way it handles. I think he has pictures on here some were.

                                        DDB - lookin' forward to seeing it when it's done.
