    GO HAWKS!!!!!!

    ive been waiting for this night for 31 years. i remember being a kid and not even being able to watch hawks home games on tv, that old fart dying was the best thing to ever happen to this team!!

    cant wait til friday, going to the parade and rally for sure!!

            Man. Being A Red Wings fan. This is bittersweet. I'm happy Chicago finally has the cup since 61. Hossa getting it after being on the last two losing teams(my wings being one of them) is great. But it is Chicago after all and well.... it's Chicago. LOL I'm glad that bitch Pronger didn't get it. So Job well done Blackhawks!

                        You bet!!!! I'm recovering myself. Great game, great series, great to see the Hawks win (finally). Been a long time and I agree with Eric, used to be they blacked out the games on TV so they lost a whole generation of fans since they couldn't see them on TV.

                        Dimondctr, remember you always have the Lions you can cheer on............

                            When were the games blacked out? Why did they do that? I don't remember it.....

                            I am glad they won...I had a big crush on Bobby Hull when I was a wee girlie! :)

                              Big congrats to all the Illinois fellas. I catch a few games every year, can't say I'm a fan. I reserve that title for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Raiders (at least one of those teams win once in a while) But I was in Chicago during a game during the payoffs, hit a few bars and damn it was wild. Hard not to get excited.

                                Old man wirtz blacked out all home games from the early 90s til just last season. He felt if fans wanted to see them play they should buy tickets and go to the games, he also traded away any good player to keep his costs down and profits up. When he died in 07 his son rocky took over and in two short years turned the team around and got all the fans back into hockey. And all the bandwagon fans that just came aboard in April. Lol.

                                  Al Davis did, does that with the Raiders, if a certain nimber of tix don't sell, they wouldn't air it in L.A. and I would assume they don't do that now in Oakland.

                                    Eric is right. Back in 1990 I remember waiting to hear if the game would sell out so I could watch it. Sometimes the network would buy all the remaining tickets so they could show the game. He was a prick.
