Smiley's

Anyone else having problems with smiley's showing up as a red X? I have tried everything short of reformatting my rig to correct the problem on my end to no avail. I have even tried installing Firefox and still get the same result.

Here are some of the ones with a problem, the list goes on with a total of 51 that don't work.

They look good here! Some I uploaded onto the server and some are being used as LINK to Smiley Central. Unless they are having an issue...which may be a possibility....they will come back to life for you.

just fired up a completely different computer and the same result. this all started the day the server was switched. this is the first time I have used this computer to access this site and this one was recently formatted.

On most forums, there's a box that need to be checked (or unchecked) in your profile, for seeing "emoticons", or smilies. Here, it's only for signatures, avatars and images.....

Check your personal settings, regardless Dan. See what's checked and what isn't.

If it was all of them then I would say its a setting in my settings on the forum but its not. I have checked pop up blocker internet settings the works even did a system restore to a date that I knew for sure they all worked. The only thing that I can see that might be affecting this is HTML code is off but can't find where to turn it on.

Dan, it's not just you. I see some and some are red Xs. All the ones you used in the opening post are red Xs for me.

Ok so at least I'm not alone. All of those used to work but not sure WTF happend after the server change for them to stop.

A quick update on the problem I was having, apparently I downloaded a microsoft patch that caused this problem. Just a couple days ago I downloaded the newest patches and they are now working correctly.
