Dixie and I were discussing about the next possible Rally - Ironhead and Dave as well. All moderators will be included but the phuckup of the server/database issue has really put us behind schedule.

We have been discussing about 2011 already and feel we need to start it right away to get everyone's input as well and allow plenty of time for everyone to schedule vacation.

    Things to consider:
    Duration of the event
Place and who has to plot the route of the BIG rally ride
    Accommodations
    Time of the year
    Food and beverages, and more!
(No need to answer any of the above questions now)

This will be out soon once I can coordinate a conference call with everyone to get the ball rolling.

We can put a vote for couple Rallies throughout the year and I think it would be a great opportunity for others that live far away to have a chance to makean event. I still would like the "one" main event to plan but multiples would not discourage me from attending.

I already want to run to Pensacola Florida for a visit and was hoping FLORIDA, GEORGIA, MISSISSIPPI and surrounding States would come visit for a quick HERD Rally.

In the meantime, please watch for new developing news coming soon.

Great thought. And there is that Million dollar highway route 550 in that general vicinity:

Another guideline that I think is important is to have a HERD member who lives at or near the proposed location. W/out Dixies enthusastic, knowledgable and total 110%/360 coverage of all concerns for us far away it wouldn't have been near as good. It just wouldn't have.

Other good basic guidelines is southern locations need to consider the earlier time of the year and Northern locations can be a little more later in the year.

I hope we effort to locate it as blackdog suggests. I am not a proponent of big cities like Denver. The rt 550 runs between Silverton and Durango,Colorado.

                  Ozarks are awsome. Beautiful.

Indiana may could prompt some of our Canadian members to present?

I'm really partial to the Milwaukee area. Maybe 2 blocks away or even less would be nice. LOL.

Being serious now, I'll make it no matter where it is. Maybe my wife will come with me this time.

I took my wife 2 daughters 2 grandsons and son in law. None of my crew at any time felt nothing more then a little awkwardness for not having had any contact or knowledge of anyone. As far as my whole family being there, there was no complaints about anything. I hope and encourage others to involve there families too. A family that rides together stays together.

We were not there Saturday as a consequence of doing other area related sight seeing and stuff. Kids in the pool etc...

And hey Auo tech how you doing. Was nice to chat breifly Friday. I was pretty impressed with how far you rode to be there.

I'm actually heading out to Denver in July on the first leg of our Ohio - Denver - Utah - Yellowstone - Miles City - Fargo - Ohio tour. Ohio to Denver is looking like about 1200 miles.

I really think everyone should take a good look at Bronson Mo. Its almost dead center the US except California and aint nobody out there goin show anyway. Bronson Mo. has the Ozark Mountains, hugh lakes , the Mo. river, look at it on google earth its hugh. Just sayin its in the middle for bout everybody. We can start savein now and rent a houseboat , or pontoon on the river, it has everytghing.

Agreed and hope that is one of the considerations for the poll. That is beautiful riding country. One concern is, is there anyone out there or near there who is in the HERD?

I don't care where it is I will be there. Oh unless its not in this country or Canada. Although that was cool of the English couple to fly in I couldn't believe it. Hope he is over his culture shock of us friendly and not reserved Americans.

That'll be about 580-600 miles one way for you and I believe you would too.
